Job Opening: Economic and Administrative Student Assistant for the Student Council at Roskilde University

Do you want to help support students and the study environment as part of our newly established secretariat?

The Student Council at Roskilde University is seeking an engaged and structured student assistant to support the daily operations of the association. In this role, you will become an important part of the work to ensure the association's operations and advocacy for student interests.

Who Are We?

The Student Council is the central student association at Roskilde University, representing students' political, social, and academic interests across the university. We work to create a good study environment and ensure that the students' voices are heard—both internally at the university and externally in society.

What Will Your Tasks Be?

As a student assistant, you will be a key part of our newly established secretariat. Your primary tasks will include:

  • Managing inquiries on our official channels, including email and other digital platforms
  • Ongoing bookkeeping, handling transfers, and reimbursing expenses
  • Coordinating meetings, preparing agendas, and taking minutes for the board and executive committee
  • Light cleaning and maintenance of office facilities, as well as ad-hoc tasks such as small-scale graphic work, text preparation, and support for development projects

Who Are We Looking For?

We imagine you are an independent, outgoing, and approachable student who:

  • Is studying communication, economics, administration, social sciences, or a related field
  • Has strong communication skills—both written and verbal—in Danish and English
  • Is structured, proactive, and able to maintain an overview in a busy daily routine
  • Has experience with the Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, Teams) and calendar systems
  • Has a basic understanding of bookkeeping and accounting principles—experience with accounting systems like e-conomic is an advantage but not a requirement
  • Can prepare minutes, agendas, and texts as instructed
  • Has basic knowledge of graphic work (e.g., Canva or Adobe Suite)
  • Has experience with secretarial work, office administration, or association work—an advantage but not a requirement

What Do We Offer?

This is a part-time position averaging 10 hours per week, with physical presence and the possibility of remote work by agreement. The work will typically be scheduled during regular working hours, distributed across 2 fixed working days per week, but may occasionally include evenings and weekends without additional compensation. Consideration will be given to your study and exam periods when scheduling work.

Application

If this sounds like you, we look forward to receiving your application, CV, and any relevant attachments via the application form here by June 23 at 23:59.

Interviews will be held on June 25 and 26.

Note: The position is open to all students, but we encourage applicants to consider any potential conflicts of interest regarding other roles within the Student Council or our partners.
